Automated Fradulent Phone Messages

Savers Bank has been notified that some of our customers have been receiving automated phone messages, stating that it is Savers Bank. The message asks them to enter their Card Number, Expiration Date, and their Personal Identification Number (PIN). These calls are not coming from Savers Bank, please do not provide any information if you should receive a similar call. If you did provide this information, please contact us immediately by phone at 1-877-765-0111, call our Debit Card Hot Line at 1-800-554-8969 or visit one of our branches so we can protect you, by closing your card. Depending on the information you provided, we may need to issue you a new card to protect you from fraudulent access to your account.

Savers Bank introduces Dan Kirschner and Kathy LeCour as new residential lending specialists. The purpose of these new positions is to provide Savers Bank customers with focused attention on their residential lending needs. The lending background and expertise that Kathy and Dan bring to this position will be beneficial to the bank as well as the community.

At the Annual Director’s Meeting of Savers Bank held on April 12, 2010, President and Chief Executive Officer Paul R. Jalbert announced continued solid growth with fully insured assets of $378,865,012 for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2009, up from $365 million during the same period in 2008.

With the annual Relay For Life right around the corner, our employees are joining efforts to raise money to fight cancer. In addition to selling candy bars, calendars and luminaries, the employees are taking part in a silent auction, participating in a bowling tournament, auctioning off gift baskets prepared by them, having bake sales, and selling handmade cards and afghans. New Business Development Office and New Southbridge Branch Manager

Savers Bank welcomes Jonathan Kelley as Business Development Officer. With over 17 years experience in the banking industry, Kelley most recently was employed by Sovereign Bank as a Business Banking Representative. Kelley will work closely with office branch managers to promote Savers Bank products to consumers and businesses in the communities the bank serves. The range of products includes all commercial loans and deposit vehicles, consumer loans, home mortgages, CDs and deposit accounts, and investment opportunities.
Savers Bank also welcomes Barbara Gale as Branch Manager of its Southbridge office. Effective February 1, Gale joins Savers after more than fifteen years with Sovereign Bank where she served as a Branch Manager, Bank Officer and Assistant Vice President. Gale will replace current Branch Manager Vivian Delisle who will retire after 38 years with Savers Bank.

Beware of Email Scam

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) has received numerous reports of a fraudulent e-mail that has the appearance of being sent from the FDIC.
The subject line of the e-mail states: “check your Bank Deposit Insurance Coverage.”
This e-mail and associated Web site are fraudulent. Recipients should consider the intent of this e-mail as an attempt to collect personal or confidential information, some of which may be used to gain unauthorized access to on-line banking services or to conduct identity theft. The FDIC does not issue unsolicited e-mails to consumers. Financial institutions and consumers should NOT follow the link in the fraudulent e-mail.

New Grafton Drive-up ATM

Savers Bank has announced the addition of a convenient drive-up Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at its Grafton branch office, located at 96 Worcester Street in North Grafton. With a drive-up teller window also available, customers will now have the added banking option of popular ATM transactions without leaving their cars. The ATM can be accessed any time of day or night.

For the 12th consecutive year, we rallied together to celebrate, remember and fight back against cancer, all the while raising OVER $178,000!!! Savers Bank LifeSavers team raised a total of $8,800! Thank you to everyone who had a part in this accomplishment.
New Deposit Insurance Limits

The standard insurance amount of $250,000 per depositor is in effect through December 31, 2013. On January 1, 2014, the standard insurance amount will return to $100,000 per depositor for all account categories except IRAs and other certain retirement accounts, which will remain at $250,000 per depositor.
